For 30yrs I’ve built a successful healing practice in Little Plumstead offering reflexology, acupressure, therapeutic and remedial massage and reiki healing. In 2012 I began training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 Element Acupuncture so that I could diagnose and treat my patients more specifically, aiming for the root of disease and imbalance as well as the symptoms. This vast practical and philosophical medicine has brought me home to my passion. To find out more about what acupuncture can do for you read here.

I’ve done additional training in: electro-acupuncture, musculo-skeletal diagnosis and treatment, male and female fertility, IVF and obstetrics, Chinese dietetics, Insomnia, Complement Channels. I attend annual conferences and use on-line lecture courses.
Advanced acupuncture
Advanced acupuncture is acupuncture in its original form; an ancient, sophisticated and comprehensive medicine. In addition to treating pain and inducing relaxation advanced acupuncture can treat complex conditions as well as treating emotional pain and spiritual disharmony.
Advanced acupuncture makes use of all 68 of the body’s channels, where standard acupuncture tends to use just 14. These “lost” channels are referred to as Complement Channels and with them we are able to work with chronic degenerative diseases and mental-emotional disharmony.
Teaching of this rich, authentic and ancient knowledge of Chinese medicine is by aural transmission as the written Classical texts were often codified. Where knowledge has been passed from teacher to student through successive generations, we can access the key nuances necessary to put this ancient wisdom into practice.
Modern day Daoist Master, Dr Jeffrey Yuen, is an 88th generation lineage holder. He has dedicated his life to selflessly teaching this medicine so that this wonderful medicine can be used for the benefit of humankind.
I am very privileged and deeply grateful to have access to this teaching through lectures presented by Master Yuen himself and through the teaching of his senior student Ann Cecil-Sterman. I continue the tradition of apprenticeship within Chinese medicine with my mentor within the lineage, Dr Hung Tran and a very active practitioner’s study group.
My interests
In addition to home, family and being in nature whenever possible I have always had a special interest in the spiritual and energetic nature of all things. I’ve read a wide range of esoteric, spiritual and health related books and articles and experienced many alternative and complimentary therapies for my own and family well-being including hypnotherapy, meditation, Tai Qi, crystal healing, Emotional Freedom Technique and Bach flower remedies.
My knowledge of other therapies means that I am able to relate to my patients on an emotional, psychological and spiritual level as well as understanding their physical symptoms. I am able to identify when it may be beneficial for a patient to have a different approach or therapy such as osteopathy, chiropractic or physiotherapy or herbal medicine.
